Lets go surfin now....

Well, the project is just about done. We finally got the boys bathroom looking like a boys bathroom. We got rid of the floral wallpaper and teal cabinets, and traded them for crisp white cabinets and a cool "surfin" blue wall. I have a surfboard shower curtain and floor mat, and we got some other surf board accents on the wall as well. I'm going to put some of the boys old swim trunks up on the wall too...just have to get them out of storage... Anyway....just thought I'd share some pictures....

Playing...Playing with the boys....

It's finally nice out! It was in the mid 80's here today. Monty got home from work and

spent the next couple of hours playing outside with the boys. We even grilled and ate out on the patio. The boys are so much fun. Thanks Lord for the daily gift that they are!

Watch out Girls...

So...I think JD is going to be a little heart breaker someday. I had just taken a shower and gotten ready for the day. I came out to the living room and began playing with Thomas the Tank Engine trains with JD on the floor. The conversation we had is as follows:

JD: "Mommy...you smell beautiful..."

Me: " Thank you JD, that was really nice of you to say. Where did that comment come from?

JD "It came from my heart...."

We can all say a collective ..."Awww...how cute..."
Watch out girls...my boy is a sweetheart...

Coffee and the still small voice

I woke up this morning to get Caleb ready for school. He attends a special speech delay class on Mondays and Wednesdays at a local grade school. We live far enough away from the school that they bus him. It's actually quite cute to see him struggle to get up the stairs on the bus. He's only 3, and is really little for his age...and they send a full sized bus to pick him up!
Anyway, the bus driver is an elderly gentleman who is full of smiles and knows Caleb by name. I've noticed that he always has a coffee cup in hand (my kind of person). So, this morning I woke up and had the thought... "I think I should take a fresh pot of coffee out to the bus this morning and see if he needs a refill" This is not a normal thought, so I guessed it must be from God. So, I got up, fixed a pot of coffee and took it out to him. Wouldn't you know it, his coffee cup was empty, and he was really excited to have a fresh cup.
I don't know why God prompted me to do that, but I was really excited about it. It really is fun when you listen to that "still small voice..."
This is a video of the bus driver carrying Caleb to the bus on his first day this past December.

I'm Back

Well...after 8 days of what the doctor diagnosed as " The Flu, Bronchitis and and advanced sinus infection", I'm now on the mend and able to complete full sentences. Sheesh...that was not fun.

It was absolutely gorgeous here in Tulsa. The boys got to run around outside and PLAY PLAY PLAY. I didn't think I was ready for spring yet, but after a day like today...bring it on! I love sending the boys out back to just be boys. I love that they come in smelling like sand and dirt. I love that they are noisy out there. I love hearing thier laughter float in through the open windows. I also love that they fall asleep by 7:30 PM after a day in the sun!

Caleb insisted on wearing goggles in the tub!
